What it means for you.
- Same price, more hours: Tokyo Metro's regular 24-hour ticket is also ¥700. If your Tokyo days fall on a Saturday–Sunday up to 20 Dec, the 28-hour ticket gives you 4 extra hours: start Saturday around noon and it still works on Sunday evening.
- A family example (2 adults + an 8-year-old + a 5-year-old): 2 × ¥700 + ¥350 = ¥2,100 (about RM54 at the ECB rate of 4 Nov 2026). Children aged 1–5 ride free, up to two per adult (Tokyo Metro's age rules).
- When this isn't the best ticket: if you're in Tokyo 3 days or more, the Tokyo Subway Ticket 72-hour for visitors is ¥2,000 per adult (about ¥667 a day) and covers Tokyo Metro and Toei Subway. The same family: 2 × ¥2,000 + ¥1,000 = ¥5,000 (about RM128) for 3 days.
- Going to Tokyo Camii: the mosque is 5 minutes from Yoyogi-Uehara Station (Chiyoda Line). Yoyogi-Uehara is one of the stations without a QR reader, along with Kita-Senju (Hibiya), Naka-Meguro, Nakano, Nishi-Funabashi, Wakoshi, Shibuya (Hanzomon and Fukutoshin) and Meguro (Namboku). At these, show your phone to the staff at the gate.
- Your phone must be on: screenshots and printouts aren't accepted. If your battery dies you'll need to buy another ticket, and stations don't offer charging. Bring a power bank.
- Changing to another company's line: exit at the transfer station first, then pay for that line with an IC card or a regular ticket.
- Prayer rooms in Tokyo: prayer rooms at Tokyo Station, Skytree and the mosques.
- Staying near a Metro line: Trip.com: Tokyo hotels 5–9 Dec, 2 adults + 2 kids (prices depend on the day you check).
