Prayer Rooms in Osaka (2026): Osaka Station, Namba CITY, Kaiyukan, EXPOCITY, Ibaraki Mosque and KIX — Official Pages, Checked Oct 2026
Osaka Station has a free prayer room at the 1F South Gate, but you must fill in a form first at the North Gate Building 3F information counter (11:00–18:00, last registration 17:30, 20 minutes per use). Namba CITY has a room on B1F; ask at the B2F counter (11:30–20:00). LaLaport EXPOCITY has men's and women's rooms with wudu facilities. Tempozan Marketplace, next to Kaiyukan, marks a prayer room on 3F. KIX lists prayer rooms in Terminal 1 only.

Kyoto Hotels for Muslim Families (2026): Prayer Space, Qibla in the Room, Halal Menus — and December Prices
5 groups (23 stays) in Kyoto state on their own sites today what they provide for Muslim guests. Only one has a prayer space inside (SEN Omiya Gojo, qibla on the ceiling); Hotel Granvia Kyoto has an MPJA-certified halal menu but no prayer room. For 2 adults + 2 children on 7–11 Dec, Trip.com shows RM632–1,196 a night.

Nikko & Yokohama Day Trips from Tokyo with Muslim Kids: Prayer Rooms & Halal Food — Tobu Nikko Station, Tobu World Square, World Porters, JICA Yokohama's Canteen, Kamakura, and the Lists to Ignore (Oct 2026)
Nikko has prayer rooms (Tobu Nikko Station, Tobu World Square) but no confirmed restaurant — bring food. Yokohama has a prayer room at World Porters 6F and a halal lunch curry at JICA's canteen (cash only); Kamakura has two restaurants with Muslim set menus (shared kitchens). Most places on the Yokohama visitors bureau list and Tobu's guide don't say halal on their own sites. None of these restaurants appears on a halal certifier's public list.

Prayer Rooms in Tokyo (2026): Tokyo Station, Skytree, 4 Mosques, Odaiba, Haneda and Narita — Official Pages, Checked Oct 2026
Tokyo Station has a prayer room inside the JR EAST Travel Service Center at the Marunouchi North exit (10:00–17:00, about 2 people, wudu facility, ask via the intercom). Tokyo Skytree marks a prayer area on floor 1 on its official floor guide. Tokyo Camii is open daily 10:00–18:00. Masjid As-Salaam (Okachimachi) holds the five daily prayers. Haneda T1 has no prayer room.

Okinawa with Muslim Kids: Halal Food & Prayer Rooms — Naha Airport, Shuri Castle, JICA's Halal Canteen, Nago, and the Lists to Ignore (Oct 2026)
Okinawa has few confirmed options. Pray at Naha Airport (international 4F, men and women, wudu), AEON Mall Rycom or Okinawa Masjid (call first). Eat at JICA Okinawa's canteen (halal-logo dishes, cash only) or Hotel Yugaf Inn in Nago (halal ingredients, book 3 days ahead). Shuri Castle has one meat-free set. Most places on the tourism lists don't say halal on their own sites.

Halal Food in Kobe & Himeji: Halal Kobe Beef, Where to Pray, and What Kobe's Lists Get Wrong — a Day Trip from Osaka (Oct 2026)
Kobe has halal Kobe beef — Misono (halal utensils and seasonings, book 3 days ahead) and Genkichi (halal-certified beef, kitchen not certified) — and 4 Muslim-friendly restaurants at Portopia Hotel (book 4 days ahead). None names a certifying body. Pray at Kobe Muslim Mosque or Hyogo Masjid. Himeji has one Muslim-friendly menu near the station and no confirmed prayer room.

Tokyo Hotels for Muslim Families: Prayer Rooms, Qibla Compasses, a Kitchen to Cook Halal — and December Prices (Oct 2026)
7 Tokyo hotels (or hotel groups) say on their own sites today what they offer Muslim guests — but none has a halal-certified kitchen. For 2 adults + 2 kids on 7–11 Dec, Trip.com shows RM522–2,154 a night; two of them were full. To eat halal, cook in a MIMARU kitchen or go to a halal restaurant.

Osaka Hotels for Muslim Families: Qibla in Every Room, a Certified Halal Breakfast, and December Prices (Oct 2026)
Only 3 Osaka hotels we checked state Muslim services on their own sites today. KIX has qibla in every room; Umeda has a halal breakfast from a certified kitchen (¥4,500 each, no child price, book 3 weeks ahead); Shinsaibashi has a Muslim-friendly menu from a shared kitchen. Trip.com, 7–11 Dec, 2 adults + 2 kids: RM239–789 a night.

If you are in Tokyo 6–8 November, ride the free AWT BUS between 56 art venues (10:00–18:00, 6 routes). Galleries and the kids' art walk are free; museums charge. The 5-house architecture tour is Japanese-only and by lottery — closes tonight.

Hokkaido in Winter with Muslim Kids: Halal Food & Prayer Rooms Outside Sapporo — Niseko, Otaru, Furano, Asahikawa, Hakodate (Oct 2026)
Outside Sapporo there are few options. Niseko has 4 Taj Mahal outlets (the group says all its meat is halal; beer and wine are served). Otaru has halal kaiseki at the Kourakuen ryokan — book 3 days ahead. Pray at New Chitose, Asahikawa and Hakodate airports, at Farm Tomita (Furano) and Sapporo Masjid. No halal grocery could be confirmed in Hokkaido.

Halal Food in Nagoya & Chubu Centrair Airport: No Restaurant Names Its Certifying Body — Kebabs, Karaage, a Mosque and 3 Airport Prayer Rooms (Oct 2026)
No restaurant in Nagoya names its halal certifying body. The clearest option is Mega Kebab (all ingredients halal, central kitchen certified by the Kyoto Halal Council; the shops themselves not yet certified) in Osu, Sakae and at Centrair. Centrair has 3 prayer rooms divided for men and women; Friday prayer at Masjid Nagoya in Honjin.

Recheck on 23 Oct: big hotels did not rise (Shinagawa Prince −3%, Narita Gateway 0%), but the cheapest Family Room in Nippori (RM1,292) is gone — that hotel's cheapest room is now RM1,603 (+24%). Early December (7–11 Dec) is still the cheapest week; most rooms can be booked now, paid in late November or early December, and cancelled for free.

Halal Food at Lake Kawaguchiko & Mt Fuji: the One Certified Restaurant, an Open Mosque and Yamanashi's 'Muslim Friendly' Dishes (Oct 2026)
Around Lake Kawaguchi only IDATEN Bettei (4 minutes from Kawaguchiko Station) is halal certified (JHCPO, August 2025) and it has a prayer room — book a day ahead. Most other restaurants only have specific dishes marked "Muslim Friendly" by Yamanashi Prefecture — no pork or alcohol, but not halal certification. Pray at Fuji Kawaguchiko Masjid.

Prayer Rooms at Narita & Haneda (2026) for Muslim Families: Which Terminal by Airline, 4 Traps, Plus KIX and 10 More
Flying Malaysia Airlines or Batik Air into Narita? You are in T2 (prayer rooms on 1F, before and after security). ZIPAIR uses T1 (3F before security, 2F after). Haneda T3 only has rooms before security; Haneda T1 has none. Narita lists no room before customs — pray after you exit into the arrivals lobby.

No halal food inside Tokyo Disneyland, DisneySea or any Disney hotel (official FAQ). Bring food for the Picnic Area outside the gates — you can leave and re-enter the same day. Oct–Dec tickets: adults ¥10,900 on most weekdays, ¥12,400 on most Saturdays (official calendar).

Sapporo Hotels for Muslim Families (2026): a 24-Hour Prayer Room, Prayer Mats & Qibla, Halal Set Meals — and December School-Holiday Prices
In our check, only HOTEL MYSTAYS Premier Sapporo Park mentions an in-house prayer room on its official site (4th floor, 24 hours), RM1,634 for 4 nights on 7–11 Dec. New Otani Inn Sapporo lends prayer mats, a qibla and the Quran, and serves 2 halal set meals at ¥4,000 if you order 3 days ahead. Of the 11 Sapporo hotels on Welcome HOKKAIDO's list, only 3 show any service for Muslims.

In Tokyo, halal food is thickest around Asakusa and Ueno, near the family hotels. Only one place on our list names a certifying body; most say "certified" without naming one. Tokyo Disney has no halal food inside the parks or at Disney hotels. Narita T1 and T2 have halal-certified-kitchen restaurants before security.

Kyoto has halal-certified kaiseki, sukiyaki and wagyu ramen, mostly around Kawaramachi and Gion. Arashiyama has only two options, so plan lunch there. Two places on older lists have closed.

Yufuin = a pretty small town with ryokan dinners. Beppu = a big onsen city with cheaper hotels near the station. For Muslim families, book a room with its own onsen bath (kashikiri / open-air bath in room) — both towns have them.
